Please join us on Nov 7th for a poetry reading by Carol Rucks and Mary Junge.
Carol Rucks is a Twin Cities based poet and will read from her latest collection (her fourth book) Disappearing Angels. In her work she touches on marriage, nature, city and bar life, and many other subjects, using unexpected insight and sly humor.
Her website is : carolruckspoet@wordpress.com.
Like the late Mary Oliver, local poet Mary Junge believes that she was saved by poetry and by the beauty and comfort of nature. With winter approaching, as we continue to heal from the Winter of ICE, Junge will read nature poems from her books, from the anthology, “Lost Lake Folk Opera: United We Write, Winter of Ice,” and from other sources. Her most recent book is “Creatures of Promise.” Earlier books include “Pilgrim Eye” and “Express Train.”
Junge can be reached at maryljunge@comcast.net.
