Join us for a special Father’s Day reading by children’s book author, Jim Daughton. Jim will be reading from and signing his latest book, A Conversation with a Butterfly, which celebrates the monarch as the world’s longest migrating insect. Through the story and accompanying illustrations, young listeners will learn why milkweed is important for the species’ survival and delight in the development of the monarch from caterpillar to cocoon to winged marvel. The story will help children respect nature and consider their place in a world of wonders both small and large. A Conversation with a Butterfly was a finalist for the 2014 Midwest Book Award.
