Eat My Shorts: Short Story Theatre is a new event series that brings short fiction to life. At each event, the work of a selected author will be performed, sometimes directly from the text, other times from versions adapted for theatre. On June 24, we'll host the second installment of the series with the help of Applause Community Theatre, who will lead with a spirited read-through of several stories, followed by opportunities for audience participation. The featured author for the June event will be Flannery O'Conner, an American writer and essayist known for her wit, keen observations of human life, considerations of morality, and enduring contributions to Southern gothic literature.
