Poetry Reading: Sharon Chmielarz, Jane Dickerson, & Rita Moe.

Join us for an inspiring, enliveing reading from three local poets on Saturday, September 10 at 3pm. Readers include Sharon Chmielarz, Jane Dickerson, and Rita Moe.

Sharon Chmielarz's poems are published in several literary magazines including The Laurel Review, The Iowa Review, Water~Stone, Kalliope, Ascent, Margie, The Hudson Review, Commonweal, Prairie Schooner, Salmagundi, The Seneca Review, Louisiana Literature and many others. She’s received a Jerome Foundation Fellowship, MN State Arts Board, and Region 2 grants. Sharon is the recipient of the 2012 Jane Kenyon Poetry Prize from Water~Stone Review. Her latest books are Love from the Yellowstone Trail (2013) and Visibility: Ten Miles, a Prairie Memoir in Photography and Poetry (2015).

Jane Dickerson studied with poets Stanley Plumly and Michael Collier at the University of Maryland at College Park. She now resides in St. Paul, MN, having lived in numerous regions of the northern and southern United States. She works as an editor and book publisher. In her poetry collection The Orange Tree (2015), Dickerson weaves the natural world into a rich tapestry to explore her relationships with those whom she loves and has loved.

Rita Moe's poetry has been published in Sing, Heavenly Muse!, Water~Stone, Poet Lore, and other journals. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Hamline University in May, 2002. The mother of two grown sons, she works full-time for an investment firm and lives with her husband in Roseville, MN.
