Society of Puzzling People

The Society of Puzzling People gather on the first Friday night of every month to assemble one jigsaw puzzle in a short amount of time. There is tea, there are surprising conversations, and there is the thrill of finding pieces that go together. Some may be life long puzzlers, while others swear they haven't done a puzzle since they were a little tyke - either way, all are welcome. Get swept up in the drama and thrill of our monthly puzzles!

This month's puzzle is the peace "Flowers in Village" by Kazuyuki Ohtsu. The joyful, vibrant colors of spring balance the strength of snow-dappled mountains in Kazuyuki Ohtsu’s landscape. Ohtsu (Japanese, b. 1935) follows the sōsaku hanga (creative print) tradition, in which artists handle every step—they paint the original pictures, carve the woodblocks, and print the images. Ohtsu’s unique compositions are poetic contemplations, drawing the viewer into lovely, tranquil scenes of natural beauty and harmony.
