On February 1, Eat My Words Bookstore celebrates its first anniversary! We're delighted to recognize this important milestone with a weekend to honor and treat our dedicated customers who continue to infuse the store with their love of literature, passion for local artists and authors, and generosity of spirit. Thank you for helping Eat My Words get off to a strong start, and for your continued support in years to come.  

From Friday, 1/30 through Sunday, 2/1 everything in the store will be 20% off. 

In addition, we will be hosting a lineup of authors and musicians to ring in another year in artistic style. 

All events are free and open to the public—bring your friends, support an independent, share the joy of reading!

2:00–4:00 pm—Poets Mike Hazard, Tony Plocido, Elizabeth Workman, Ted King, Lara Mimosa Montes, and Tom Cassidy read and perform their latest work.

4:30–5:30 pm— Dumpy Bug Jumpers Jugband

6:00–8:00 pm—Poets Tim Nolan, Morgan Grayce Willow, Lewis Mundt, Danny Klecko, Thressa Johnson, and Mike Finley read and perform their latest work.

Sunday, February 1
