Art-a-Whirl: Altered Esthetics

Presented by the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA), Art-a-Whirl is the largest open studio tour in the country.  As part of the festival, we're delighted to host an interactive exhibition by Altered Esthetics that merges photography, community, and creative writing.

From 1-3pm, Altered Esthetics will host a children’s “flash fiction” writing activity. The exercise will engage families in generating spontaneous creative writing by collecting inspiration from photography.

From 3pm - 5pm, Altered Esthetics will host a schedule of public readings. The lineup of local authors includes flash fiction writer and filmmaker Christopher Jug George, poet Paul Dickinson, and comedian Rana May.
