Henry Gould, a Minneapolis native, recently returned to Minnesota after 45 years in Rhode Island. His verse and prose have appeared in journals such as Poetry, Rain Taxi, Jacket, Mudlark, and Critical Flame. Two books have been published: Stone (Copper Beech Press, 1979) and Stubborn Grew (Spuyten Duyvil Press, 2000). For 10 years he co-edited (with Janet Sullivan) the Rhode Island literary magazine Nedge; he also edited and published the collected poems of poet and translator Edwin Honig (Time & Again: Poems 1940-1997). His abiding interest in epic poetry and long poems informs his current effort, a multivolume work-in-progress called Ravenna Diagram.
