West Egg Literati is an organization of Hamline University MFA students who want to grow and develop connections within the program and beyond. Their Green Light Reading Series, named after the iconic green light from The Great Gatsby, celebrates the local community of writers and readers through monthly themed open mic nights. Come to read or come to listen—all are welcome. Readers with original poetry, fiction, nonfiction related to the theme are encouraged to join us. 

The theme for the Saturday, January 27 reading is 'Renewal.'
